What it takes to get a brand-new build glowing for its debut, and the details that make a difference on camera.
There is a particular kind of satisfaction in walking into a brand-new home and making it look like it has always been loved. New construction cleaning is one of our favorite projects, and it comes with its own rhythm.
The rough clean
After the trades have finished their work, dust and debris settle into every surface. The rough clean is the first pass: clearing construction dust from floors, wiping down frames and sills, and removing the stickers and protective films that protected finishes during the build. It is unglamorous, foundational work that everything else depends on.
The detail pass
Once the heavy lifting is done, we move to the details. We polish fixtures, clean inside cabinets, wipe down appliances, and make sure glass is free of every smudge. Buyers may not name a spotless window when they see one, but they absolutely feel the difference a bright, clear view makes.
Picture day ready
The final clean happens just before photos. Floors gleam, surfaces are clear, and the home is ready to be seen at its best. For a new build, that first impression often sets the tone from listing to closing.
